Albatross and Polaris Hall are efficiency apartment-style residence halls that are a great addition this year to the variety of on-campus living options available to students. These buildings feature an entertainment room, laundry facilities, private baths for each room (two students to a room) as well as kitchenettes in each room including a refrigerator, sink, and a two-burner electric stove-top.
All Albatross rooms and all odd-numbered Polaris rooms have the same set-up. Even-numbered rooms in Polaris (those ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8) have a larger set-up (resulting in the room price being adjusted accordingly) that includes a small table and two chairs.
Over 250 students live in our two-story residence hall known as Hullabaloo Hall and three-story residence hall known as Oceans Hall. The interior corridors make it very easy for residents to get to know all of their neighbors. Students vary from first-year to seniors, and there is a broad variety of majors living in Hullabaloo and Oceans. Students are paired two per room. Each room has a private balcony and shares a bathroom with one other room. Laundry facilities are provided on the first floor of the building. The following LLCs are housed in Oceans and Hullabaloo Halls: A+, F1RST, LEAD, and WAVE.
The virtual tour portrays a standard Hullabaloo 1st floor (2 person) room, with jack-and-jill style bathrooms shared with room next door. Oceans rooms are a similar style, but please note that Oceans Hall rooms have two pairs of bed ends instead of one pair of tall bed ends; the beds are still adjustable and can be lofted. Second floor Hullabaloo rooms have private bathrooms and as a result have one sink instead of two.
